Montessori Printed Alphabet Box, DIY Printed Alphabet Box & Cards At Home
My husband did a quick sketch and built them. They were constructed with left over lumber from another project. Below are the cross sections. He simply stacked these and ran them through the table saw. He built both boxes in under an hour for FREE pretty great! You could easily build these with lattice moulding.
Then we had a really nice wooden ice cube tray 😃

DIY Montessori Brown Stair, Sensorial At Home
Ava has started working with the Brown Stair. She loves building and creating so she has had lots of fun. This type of work is not new for Ava, as she has been working with many types of design and construct developmental toys for quite some time, however this is a beautiful material that relates directly to Montessori Math.

Animal Family Matching, Montessori Language At Home
Ava loves the animal tray for our Grammar Farm. I printed beautiful farm animal nomenclature cards from Montessori for Everyone. Ava is matching the animal figures to cards in these pictures. I also printed a set of baby to parent farm animal cards from here, and another great set of animal family cards from Montessori MOMents. For now Ava is working on image matching so I actually have not cut the cards as yet when she's ready I'll cut the labels.
I had a pretty good match of figures for the cards but no "white" dog she took particular notice of this 💕

The Article Story, Montessori Grammar & Language At Home
Xander read the "Article Story" today. A simple story that the child reads and fills in the missing articles. This exercise is from Montessori Research and Development. I decided to create our own story for this work with familiar characters. I wrote a fun story about our cats and a situation he would find amusing. Ours was called "Pickles the Cat".

Detective Triangle Game, Montessori Grammar & Language At Home
The Triangle Game is an early version of the Adjective Game played in Elementary Grammar. This game is in my Montessori Research and Development Manual - Language Arts 5. We bought our Detective Adjective Game here.
This is a very simple setup. A tray with triangles selected from your Detective Adjective Triangle game box, and labels you can easily make yourself. I made the following labels: small, medium, large, red, blue, yellow, the, triangle and then the nine command cards as pictured below. You can easily make the triangles with laminated card stock or wood. It does not matter what type of triangle you use in this game.

Welcome!
Hi there! I'm the author and creator of Making Montessori Ours. We are a busy home learning family sharing our favourite learning resources, road trips and travel, crafty fun, home diy projects, sewing, and tons more! I am not as active in posting about our children as they have grown, and their interests are their own. When they give permission I shall create posts that include them. Our interests as a family continue to grow, and we share our news and daily updates on Facebook and Instagram, if you wish to catch up with us there please do! As requested I will continue to develop materials and products for our shops, as I love the creative process. There are so many things that our children loved that I would love to share. For those who have been with us for many years we thank you! For those who are new to us we welcome you!
In the spirit of transparency ~ We are an amazon affiliate. If you click on any amazon link on this site and make a purchase (at no cost to you) we receive a small sum. It's important that you know!
